Gifts of appreciated securities or commercial or residential real estate often allow you to make a substantial contribution while receiving valuable income tax advantages.
Generally, a donor may qualify for a charitable deduction based on the value of the gift, and the capital gain from the donated asset passes tax-free to FLOP.
